As the river of God’s presence
refreshing to the soul
is reserved for the forgiven
who yield to His control

through a Holy Ghost cleansing work
within the heart of man
God removes what is not pleasing
through grace to show His hand

taking man on a deeper course
whereby His will be done
anointing man to use his life
to glorify the Son
____
oh the lovely presence of God
in waves of sweet caress
flows in and o’er throughout the soul
where only God can bless
____
He satisfies the hungry ache
which zeal has brought to bear
when man draws nearer to his God
the river’s waiting there
____
it’s sad that many will not come
their pride and fear remain
which hinders them from knowing God
in all that they would gain
____
just look and see who’s been with God
in intimate delight
and there you will find the heart of God
of love’s beholding light
